Executive Director Search - National Network of Abortion Funds

Executive Director Search

NNAF’s incoming Executive Director will be a fearless innovator and emotionally intelligent leader well-equipped to take NNAF to the next level at this critical juncture. They will further expand on NNAF’s vision and plan to strengthen and scale the network to meet growing demands and build grassroots power. Alongside the Board of Directors — a diverse group of changemakers, activists, and abortion fund members — they will lead the staff in executing NNAF’s strategic vision, mission, and direction.

The Executive Director will be committed to upholding and living out our values of intersectionality, autonomy, collective power, and compassion and will center anti-racism and healing justice in their approach. They will uplift and focus on the lived experiences of people who have and seek abortions, allowing these narratives to lead and shape the scope of the work. With an expert-level understanding of the intersecting oppressions that impact abortion access and care, they will be a staunch advocate for Black, Brown, and Indigenous peoples, disabled people, and LGBTQIA+ folks.

We very much look forward to announcing our new Executive Director in the next year. Thank you for helping us circulate this important announcement amongst your peers, colleagues, and professional networks as we endeavor to find our next leader.

You can read additional reflections on the transition from the Board, as well as from Yamani, here.
